Her work focuses on addressing anti-Black racism and supporting individuals and families navigating the Judicial, Childwelfare, Education and Social Assistance systems. Shea centers her work on overcoming systemic barriers and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.

Drawing from lived experience, Shea speaks to the complexities of identity and the ways colonization has shaped, challenged, and often obscured the ability to openly claim one's heritage. She remains committed to creating space for truth, recognition, and community healing.
